Ethical Conduct
We pay no personal commissions and no improper inducements
In 24 years in the Angolan market, Menshen has never offered or accepted improper inducements to win or keep business. We compete for and earn contracts on the merit of our work. That is how we will continue.
Our commitment
- 01
We do not
offer - 02
We do not
accept - 03
We do not
tolerate
It applies to every employee, partner and supplier, without exception.
The commitment
In concrete terms
A commitment to integrity is worth only the actions behind it. Here is what ours means in practice.
-
01
We do not offer improper inducements
We do not pay personal commissions, side payments or any other improper inducement to those who decide on purchases, contracts or tenders. We compete on our value proposition.
-
02
We do not accept improper inducements
Our people do not solicit or accept payments, disproportionate gifts or favours in exchange for preferential treatment of suppliers or clients.
-
03
Honest costs, no hidden charges
The amount we quote reflects the work we perform. We do not inflate costs to fund side-commissions, nor include unexplained charges.
-
04
We decline business that requires it
When an award depends on an improper payment, Menshen withdraws from the process. We have done so before and would do so again.
Why
Ethics is a win for everyone
Ethical conduct is not only the right thing to do, it is also what delivers better outcomes for every party: organisations, employees and the sector. Here is how.
For owners & managers
-
Quality assurance
When commissions drive the choices, the focus on service quality fades, and long-term business success is compromised.
-
Undistorted cost
A relationship founded on personal commissions almost always hides the genuine cost of services. With us, cost reflects only the work delivered.
-
Legal & reputational safety
Engaging suppliers with verifiable conduct reduces your organisation's legal exposure and protects its reputation in audits and compliance processes.
For employees
-
Career progression
Those drawn into commission schemes end up compromising the quality of their work, damaging performance and career progression.
-
Legal risk
Engaging in unlawful practices can carry legal consequences, including termination and legal action.
-
Professional reputation
In an environment where merit and quality are compromised, professional reputation is at risk.
For everyone
-
Sustainable business
A focus on ethics and quality secures the long-term viability of projects and relationships.
-
Mutual trust
Ethical conduct builds a culture of trust that strengthens teamwork and client relationships.
For stakeholders
What this means for you
Clear conduct is not a luxury. It is what makes the relationship with us predictable and auditable - whichever side of the table you sit on.
-
01
For shareholders & boards
The decision to engage Menshen rests on technical merit and a fair cost. No one in your organisation is paid on the side to influence you - which protects your budget and your governance.
-
02
For partners & suppliers
The relationship with us does not depend on improper payments. The rules of engagement are the same for every partner.
-
03
For audited & regulated clients
When your organisation is audited, so are your suppliers. Our conduct aligns with international anti-corruption good practice, so it withstands scrutiny.
The Menshen ethos
Integrity and excellence
A principle, not a tagline
Our approach to business is simple: operate with integrity and deliver excellence. It is a principle that runs through every layer of our work - from our strategic partnerships to our client engagements and employee relations.
Trust as the foundation
Whether you are an employee focused on your career or a business leader focused on long-term success, our ethos ensures that your relationship with Menshen rests on clear criteria and a verifiable standard of work.
A better sector
We remain resolute in our commitment to ethical business practices as a path to elevate the IT sector in Angola. We invite you to be part of this journey.
